The ABCs of Anti-Aging Skincare

It can sometimes seem complicated, this whole skincare thing. Throw in aging skin and whamo! Your head is spinning. How can we make sense of all the skincare hoopla?

Remember that everyone is different. All skin is not created equal, nor the products to care for it. Personal professional consultation is always my recommendation in order to find what works best for you.

With that in mind, here is a glimpse of what I have found to be the ABCs of Anti-Aging ingredients beneficial for my anti-aging skincare regimen.

A. As in Acids. 

Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Beta Hydroxy Acid, and Lactic Acid are all effective ingredients in the fight against aging skin. Benefits often include smoothing, exfoliating, more even skintone, and reduction of fine lines. The combination and amount of these ingredients in a product are key to successful results.

B. As in Broad Spectrum Sunscreen. 

Since the damaging rays from the sun are the number one culprit to aging skin, using a sunscreen or sunblock is essential. The use of Broad Spectrum Sunscreen provides protection from all forms of photodamage and UV exposure.

C. As in Vitamin C.

Vitamin C nourishes your skin, while brightening, smoothing, and regenerating, helping to dramatically improve skin firmness and clarity.
