Kohana Skin Care - a product review

The following is a product review for which I was compensated in product.

My experience with Kohana Skin began a month or so ago. I say experience, because for me, using these products is more than just simple application - it is truly an experience.

Kohana Skin is a natural skincare line inspired by the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands. The lush bath and body products go way beyond the basic scrub and moisturizer. They deliver a powerful dose of what I describe as Island Calm, delivered with incredible emollients and intense tropical fragrances that linger to extend the tropical experience.

I am impressed with the mission statement from Kohana's Website:

Kohana's mission is to create exceptional bath and beauty products made with 

fair trade, natural and organic ingredients.

Available products include:

• Face Cremes
• Masques
• Body Polishes 
• Salt Scrubs 
• Sugar Scrubs

Some of the ingredients include minerals, therapeutic sea salts, essential oils, rare flower extracts, Hawaiian red Alaea sea salt, and kukui nut oil.

I have known about the rejuvenating and moisturizing properties of Kukui Nut Oil for hair for many years. It is not often that I find a beauty product with this remarkable ingredient. I am excited to have discovered some Kohana Skin products contains Kukui Nut Oil!

I used the bath salts, sugar scrubs, and cremes on myself and my clients. The bath salts are an excellent foot soak for pedicures, while the sugar scrubs are gentle exfoliants - really nice for manicures, as well as pedicures.

The result: Baby-soft, smooth, and glowing skin. Needless to say, the clients enjoyed the fragrant, spa-like experience and the end result!

My favorites in the line include the
Jasmine Green Tea Sugar Scrub and the
Coffee Body Butter Creme.
The Coffee products smell as good as they sound, just like my favorite morning brew! Yum. Coffee lovers rejoice!

My overall opinion
of Kohana Skin is that these are exceptional beauty products. They deliver what they claim, while maintaining their dedication to fair trade, organics, and natural ingredients.

The packaging is bright and clean. My samples came in a finely hand woven natural fiber basket - a great presentation. These products would be well-received as gifts.

Kohana Skin Care products would be a great addition to any salon or spa retail selection, and would no doubt enhance the quality of the spa experience!
