I Don't Need a Trim - I'm Growing My Hair Out!

On the contrary. Your hair needs (and deserves) more attention than that.
With proper attention, you can really see progress in the growth in the length of your hair.
Actually, Hair grows approximately 1/4" - 1/2" per month, depending on your hair growth cycle. A hair growth cycle is generally 3-5 or 5-7 years, depending on your genes.
(Example: If you have never had your hair past your shoulder blades, even though you use the line in the title of this post, chances are you have the shorter hair cycle.)
Your hair grows from the scalp and will break off at the ends if you do not take care of it!
With the approximate monthly hair growth in mind, trimming 1/8th to 1/4" every 8 weeks will still allow you to gain length, while trimming off the split or damaged ends.
Don't neglect your ends and you will see results!
